Annette C. (Lamontagne) Curit, 79, of Sanford, died unexpectedly o n June 13, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC after travelling south with her family for a girls weekend full of celebrations. She was born in Sanford on February 16, 1938, the daughter of Arthur and Alvida (Plamondon) Lamontagne and attended Holy Family School and Sanford High School, both in Sanford, Maine. She later married Norman Curit, the love of her life, and they were married for 45 years.She was employed for more than a decade at Sprague-Electric until she left to become a homemaker and care for her granddaughter. Annette was always up for a good time. She loved road trips, going out to lunch and going to the casino but her favorite times were spent with family, especially her daughters and youngest sister. Family was everything to her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and memere. She was always watching over everyone, the family often called "Queenie"Annette was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Alvida Lamontagne, the true love of her life, her husband, Norman Curit, her sister, Anita Ferland, her grandson, Michael Curit, all of Sanford, her son in law, Glenn Hobson of Alfred.She is survived by her three daughters, Cindy Fowler and her husband, Mel of High Point, NC, Norma Curit and her fiance, Gerard Gagne of Sanford, Maine, Louann Hobson of Alfred, Maine, a brother, Richard Lamontagne and his wife, Chris of Kornwestheim, Germany, sister, Pat Whitten and her husband Steve of Sanford, Maine, five grandchildren, Jenny Lane, and her husband, Rich, David Hobson, Veronica Hanson, and her husband, Stephen, James Curit, Neil Hobson and his wife Meghan, seven great grandchildren, Taylor, RJ, Gavin, Halleigh, Peighton, Aidyn and Cory, a very special niece, Kelly Moody, her lifelong friend, Lorraine Coombs, her beloved dog, Chloe, and several nieces and nephews.Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 6 to 8PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday at 1PM. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.Condolences may be sent at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
