I am shocked to hear of Anne’s passing. She did the flowers for my wedding in 1995 and I remember attending her wedding in Gorham. You were a wonderful and gentle friend. I had asked a co-worker to bring me back the local section from the 1/10 paper and just read this about Anne today. I was shocked and saddened. We were close friends in elementary and high school. Anne and her family are special people and my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Anne – I will never forget you…Lori

I knew Anne from writing classes at USM Adult Education and because of a writing group that developed from the class. This was about a decade ago and I’ll always recall her laugh, her wit, her talent and inner and outer beauty. She was a person of incomparable sweetness, wrote in a style reminiscent of Anne Tyler, and read everyone’s contributions thoroughly before making prescient and kind criticisms. News of her death is sad, I’ll take comfort knowing she is in a better place and recall how good she made people around her feel.

Sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the family and extended family of Anne. To lose a person of Anne’s calibre, so suddenly and relatively young, is painful and difficult to understand. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with each of you. When I was in the position of Guidance Counselor at Catherine McAuley, Anne used her business skills to do typing and filing for me. She was most efficient in this capacity, and I remain grateful for the assistance she gave me. I distinctly remember her calm and gentle manner. I mourn Anne’s passage from this world along with you. May her dear soul rest in eternal peace. Mary, I remember you, too, and my thoughts go out to you at this time of sorrow.
