Anne Beaulieu

Anne Beaulieu, 90, of Sanford, died November 5, 2006 at Goodall Hospital in Sanford.Anne was born in Canada on October 23, 1916 to the late Frank and Mary Melanson. She attended local parochial schools and later Sanford High night school. For over 40 years, Anne worked in local shoe shops as a sampler and a fancy stitcher. Anne was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, the theatre and a variety of crafts. She particularly enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a very caring person and thoroughly enjoyed helping others. She also volunteered many hours at St. Ignatius Church where she was a member.Mrs. Beaulieu was predeceased by her husbands, Roland Mailhot and Frank V. Beaulieu, a sister, Matilda Levesque and a brother, Robert Melanson.Surviving are a daughter, Rita Mailhot of Sanford; three sisters, Bernadette Levesque of Sanford, Alberta Sevigny and her husband Francois of Springvale and Doris Jalbert of Sanford; a brother, Laurie Melanson and his wife Cecile of Sanford; a brother-in-law, Roger Levesque and his wife Mary of Springvale and many nieces and nephews.A period of visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, located at 29 Winter Street in Sanford. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at St. Ignatius Church in Sanford with interment following at St. Ignatius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to St. Ignatius Parish, 66 North Avenue, Sanford, ME, 04073 or EWTN, Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word, 5817 Old Leeds Road, Irondale, AL 35210.
