Anna T. O'Leary

PORTLAND - Anna T. O'Leary passed away peacefully on January 12, at age 79, surrounded by family. Anna was a beloved sister, Aunt and friend to many. Anna was born in Portland on September 11, 1933 to parents Daniel and Hannah Flaherty O'Leary. She is survived by her brother John O'Leary, Sr., nephews, Tim O'Leary and wife Patricia, and John O'Leary, Jr., and nieces Kathy O'Leary and Ellen O'Leary McKee and her husband, Scott, and three grand-nephews Spencer, Ethan and Carter McKee. Anna was a strong woman of Catholic faith, and her kindness and generosity touched the lives of many. Anna graduated from Cathedral High School. She enjoyed a long career as a government contract administrator. Anna was very proud of her Irish heritage. Anna was an avid sports-fan, actively supporting the Yankees and the Celtics. She also enjoyed NASCAR racing and Dale Earnhardt. She will be deeply missed. Visiting hours will be held on from on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 4-6 pm at the Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. Prayers will be recited at 9:15 am Thursday at the Chapel followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Cross Church, corner of Broadway and Cottage Road, South Portland. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.Online condolences may be expressed below.
I can’t believe my friend is gone. She was a part of every day somehow. OMG how I will miss her. Thanks, Anna, for all the memories.
