Ann Friedlander

ann friedlander

Ann Friedlander, born on March 29, 1938, passed away on April 30th, 2025.

Ann lived in a number of places throughout her long life – Arlington, Brookline, Milton, Canton, and Stoughton, Massachusetts; Poland Spring, Newry, Riley Township, and Portland, Maine. She went to school in Brookline, graduated from Brandeis University, and got a Landscape Architect degree at Harvard Graduate School of Design.

She leaves behind her sister, Carole, daughters Karen, Lisa, & Diane, son David, grandchildren Molly, Gaia, Sam, Daniel, and Matthew, great grandchildren Oliver, Arya, and Aviv, and longtime partner, Alan.

Some of her many passions were skiing, horseback riding, fly fishing, gardening, and animals. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother, as well as a friend, and mentor to many people. She was a spirited, strong, brave, brilliant, kind woman who fiercely defended and supported those she loved and causes she believed were right. Though we are sad, it was her time to go and we hope she is happy and warm wherever she is!
