Anita Petrin

SANFORD Anita Petrin 89 a former resident of Winslow St., and Mayflower Place, died Monday at the Newton Center following a long illness. She was born in Sanford December 23, 1916 a daughter of Albert & Wilhelmine (Caron) Johnson. She was a graduate of the former St. Ignatius commercial school.Anita resided in Rochester, NY for 30 years, returning to Sanford in 1983 following the death of her husband Henry who died in 1979. While living there she was employed at Analog Devices printed circuits for twenty years. She was also previously employed at the Goodall-Sanford Textile Mills. Anita was a communicant of St. Ignaitus Church, the Ladies of Ste. Anne, and the Altar Scoiety. Survivors are her daughter, Theresa Dioguardi of Rochester, NY, and her son Philip John Petrin of Texas, A special Grandaughter, Della Dioguardi of California who assisted her with all her needs, and five other grandchildren, and three great grandchildren along with several nieces & nephews.Visiting hours will be Friday 6-8 PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9 :00 AM Saturday in St. Ignatius Church with burial to follow in St. Ignatius cemetery.To leave the family a message of condolence please use the "condolences" tab to the left.
