Alma Jean Nugent

Alma Jean Nugent, 77, of Lebanon, ME died in her sleep on Tuesday, April 17, 2007. She was born in Newburyport, MA, the daughter of William F. and Ruth H. Perkins. She was a graduate of Needham, MA High School. She was a long time resident of Lee, NH, Where at various times, she had bee superintendent of the Lee Church Sunday School, a member of the Lee Fire Dept. Auxiliary and the Jeremiah Smith Grange. She worked as secretary to the board of selectmen for several years in the 1970's. She moved to Englewood, FL in 1982. While there, she was a member of the Edgewater Club, the Holiday Estates Association and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 276. She returned to New England in 1996 and has been living in Lebanon, ME.She was predeceased by her older brother William.Surviving are her husband of 56 + years, George R. Nugent of Lebanon; three children, Caroline Lokken of Englewood, FL, Stephen Nugent of Lebanon, ME and Kenneth Nugent of Milton, NH; seven grandchildren.At Mrs. Nugent's request there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are through Carll-Heald and Black Funeral Home in Springvale.
