Allyre "Al" Levesque, 90, of Sanford, passed away on Sunday August 16, 2020 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was born in St. Anne, New Brunswick, Canada, on May 9, 1930 a son of the late Henry and Jane (Fournier) Levesque.In his earlier years Al worked as a farmer. He later worked for himself as a trucker and in later years was employed by William Renald and Genest Concrete. He was a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus.He is predeceased by his siblings, Joan Levesque, Gilbert Levesque, O'Neil Levesque and Lawrence Levesque.He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Madeline F. (Poissonnier) Levesque of Sanford, his children, Ronald (Michele) Levesque, James Levesque, Allyre Jr.(Yvonne) Levesque, a special nephew Joey (Kim) Levesque. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tony, Emily, Dominic, Nicholas, Vicky, Jeff, Kate, Kacey, great grandchildren, Logan, Brody, Terrance, Heath, Caleb, Layla, Lincoln, Quincy, Jackson, Sadie, Gracie, Molly. He is also survived by his siblings, Romeo Levesque, Emile (Alice) Levesque, Aline Mayo, Patricia (Gerald) Labbe, Joseph Levesque and Claude Levesque as well as many nieces and nephews and close friends.Visiting hours will be on Sunday August 23rd from 2 to 5PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church in Sanford.
