Allen J. Bennison, 21 years old, died Tuesday, January 23, 2007 in Sanford, ME.Allen was born on August 17, 1985 in Portland, ME. He was the son of Nancy A. (Parker) Dalzell, and Donald R. Bennison Jr. Allen attended local schools and graduated with the class of 2003 from Massabesic High School. He went on to attend the University of Southern Maine. Allen worked in construction over the past few years, and was planning on a career in accounting.Over the years Allen enjoyed playing football, basketball and softball with his friends. He liked to snowboard, play paintball, go camping, and was an avid San Francisco 49'ers fan.Allen will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.Surviving is his mother Nancy Dalzell and her husband Michael of Waterboro, his father Donald Bennison Jr. and his wife Susan of Biddeford, a sister Tracy Bennison of Waterboro, a brother Donald Bennison III of Sanford; two very special friends Erica Morris and Rick Cormier; grandparents Jeannette Parker of Saco, and Donald Sr. and Patricia Bennison of Port Charlotte, FL.; two nieces, Shaylynn Morris, and Hannah Marie Turner: a nephew, Donald Bennison IV. Also surviving are aunts and uncles Raymond and Carlene Parker, Julie Picard, Ed and Diane Parker, Irene and Russ Huntington, Pauline and Roger McGee, Anne Parker, Dave Bennison, Deborah Simpson, Dan Bennison, Diane Dole-Drzata, and Dawn Schutzenhofer. A period of visitation will be held this Sunday, January 28, 2007 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St. Springvale, ME. A 1:00 PM funeral services will be held on Monday, January 29, 2006 at the Curtis Lake Christian Church on Westview Drive in Sanford. Committal services will be held in the spring of 2007. In Lieu of flowers the Bennison family suggests memorials be made in Allen's name to the Massebesic High School Athletic Department, c/o Chris Daigle, 88 West Rd., Waterboro, ME 04087.
