Aline M. Ouellette Fortier, 98, a lifelong resident of Springvale, died June 1 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough after a brief illness.She was born in Springvale on October 17, 1921, the daughter of Arthur and Yvonne (Letourneau) Fontaine, attended Notre Dame School and Sanford High School.She worked for many years in the family business, Pelletier & Levesque Oil Company in Springvale, retiring in 1983. A devout catholic her whole life, she was a communicant of, organist for and choir member of Notre Dame Church in Springvale. She was also a member of the Ladies of St. Anne.Aline enjoyed traveling and knitting in her spare time.Her first husband, Maurice Ouellette died in 1988.Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Raymond G. Fortier of Springvale, son Maurice Ouellette, Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Cornish, son David Ouellette and his wife Donna of Sanford, daughters Linda Lamontagne of Englewood, FL, Maureen Leclerc and her husband Paul of Lewes, DE, Julie Kostis and her husband William of Sanford, Stella Corson and her husband Phillip of Polk City, FL, three stepchildren, Robert Fortier of Sanford, James Fortier of Lebanon, Carol Sewal of Lebanon, sister, Constance Smith of Kirkland, WA, 26 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Notre Dame Church when Covid virus restrictions are eased. Burial will be private at Notre Dame Cemetery in Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
