Aline R. Croteau

SANFORD Aline R. Croteau, 81, a life long resident of Sanford died Tuesday at the Newton Center in Sanford following a long illness. She was born in Sanford April 4, 1927 the daughter of Robert & Yvonne (Langlais) Croteau.Aline was educated at the former St. Ignatius School and a graduate of the former St. Ignatius High School with the class of 1945. Aline was employed at the former Goodall-Sanford Textile Mills as a secretary until they closed in 1954. She later would work at Cyro Industries as secretary to the plant manager from 1957 until her retirement in 1991. She was a long time communicant of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, St. Ignatius Church. She loved to play cards and travel.She is survived by her cousins, Mike and Rachel Prefontaine of Sanford, Claire Bourassa of Sanford and Nancy Boulay of Acton, along with several other relatives.Visiting hours will be Friday from 4 to 6 PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 :00 am Saturday at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church.
