Alice Homewood

Alice N. Homewood, 92, beloved wife of the late Albert E. Homewood, passed away on Friday February 15, 2008 in Sanford, Maine. Alice was born in Scotland on June 23, 1915, a daughter of James and Diana (Henderson) Gordon. She moved to the US at age 7. She lived in Niagara Falls, NY, where she worked at Carborundum for 40 years. She retired to Florida, where they traveled extensively and also made trips to her beloved country Scotland. She had lived in Maine since 1997.She is survived by two sisters, Diana Jordan of Niagara Falls, NY and Joanne G. Sullivan of Sanford, Maine.Burial will be private at the Niagara Memorial Park in Lewiston, NY.Donations may be made in Alice's memory to the Activity Center at Newton Center, 35 July Street, Sanford, Maine 04073.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale, Maine.To leave the family a message of condolence please use the "condolences" tab to the left.
