Alex Chandler Paradis

Scarborough- Alex Chandler Paradis, 22, of Wiley Way passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 2, 2016. Alex was born in Portland, Maine on September 30, 1993 to the late Paul J. Paradis and Bonnie Hall Haley Paradis Brubach of Scarborough. He attended Scarborough schools graduating from Scarborough High School in the class of 2012. Following high school, Alex enlisted and served in the United States Army, he was currently enrolled in the Master Electrician program at SMCC. After returning home from the Army, Alex worked for Portland Collision and at Lowes. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, kayaking, snowmobiling and spending time at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway especially during the Day of Destruction Demolition Derby. He loved making people laugh and was always willing to help family and friends anytime they needed him. Alex understood his short comings but was willing and committed to making his wrongs, right again. He loved riding his motorcycle and most recently became a member of the Brothers Crew Motorcycle Club, an organization proudly making a positive impact on their community by doing many volunteer projects to help others and always maintaining a zero tolerance for drugs by its members. Alex greatest love was the time he spent surrounded by his family, especially his niece Kadence and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his nephew Evan to be born September 7th. Alex was predeceased by his father Paul J. Paradis in 2004 and a grandmother Evelyn Dolman Paradis. He is survived by his mother Bonnie and her husband Daniel Brubach of Scarborough; two sisters Courtney Bell and her husband Scott of Gorham and their daughter Kadence and son Evan of Gorham, Dr. Michele Lyn Haley of California; step brothers Zac and Blake Brubach of Scarborough; Paternal grandfather Jerald A. Paradis of Scarborough; maternal grandparents Philip M. and Roxanne Warren Hall of Scarborough; several aunts, uncles and cousins Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway. A service will follow at 1:00pm with burial in Black Point Cemetery, Black Point Road, Scarborough. I remember Alex from my time working as a counselor at Summer Rec Camp. He was always such a happy kid and I was impressed by his level of maturity, kindness, and helpfulness during camp. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
