SANFORD—Albenia Mae Connors, 93, of Sanford, died peacefully at her home on Saturday May 10, 2025.

She was born in Boston on March 13, 1932 the daughter of Walter and Edith (Doucette) Legere.

She worked at several jobs over the years, including mills and dress shops in Sanford/Springvale, 22 years at Sprague Electric and later she worked at Mardens for several years.

Albenia was married to Herman Connors for 32 years. Together they were members of the VFW where she was Past President of the Auxiliary and she was also a past member of the Post 3 AMVETS Auxiliary.

Albenia was predeceased by her husband, Herman Connors in 2005.

She is survived by her children, Donna Sutter, Donald Connors, and David Connors; fourteen grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
