Alan J. St. Laurent
On Tuesday, December 31, 2019, Alan John St. Laurent passed away unexpectedly at home, at the age of 55.Al was born on September 22, 1964 in Sanford, Maine. He was a Sergeant in the United States Air Force and served overseas in the 1980's. Since 2004, Al had managed the Sanford Elks. Al is known in the community for his endless passion and fundraising at the Elks, including his support of Autism Awareness. Al was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed watching the games with family and friends. He played sports growing up and through adulthood. He enjoyed home at the lake, riding his pontoon boat, and riding his Jeep with the top off. Al was known as a person who brought people together and loved celebrations. He especially loved his friendships, enjoyed many laughs, and made special memories with many friends. Al's smile, laugh and sense of humor would light up a room. Al brought joy and happiness to all he spent time with. He had a huge heart and his legacy will leave an indescribable impact on all who knew him. Al was preceded by his father Richard St. Laurent.He is survived by his partner of 14 years, Georgette Durgin, his son Shane St. Laurent, daughter-in-law Brooke, granddaughter Shea, daughter Jenna, stepson Joseph Durgin, stepdaughter Jessica Hall, her husband Michael Hall and their three children Joshua, Brayden and Abigail. Al is survived by his mother Betty St. Laurent, his four sisters Sherri Moulton, Brenda Burnell, Denise Lavigne, and Christine Seale and their spouses along with several nieces and nephews.A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale.A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 10 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish Holy Family Church, 66 North Ave., Sanford.
