On December 6, 2015, Adrienne LeBlanc (nee Tetreau) passed away in Syracuse, NY with her daughter and son-in-law at her bedside. Born on April 4, 1924, Adrienne was the second youngest of 13 children, the daughter of Aurelie and Alfred Tetreau. Her father passed away shortly before the birth of Adrienne's youngest sibling. Growing up in a single parent home, she worked with everyone in the family to make ends meet. It was this "roll up your sleeves" attitude that Adrienne maintained throughout her life, always finding a way to work through difficult situations.In 1946, she married Rene LeBlanc, with whom she would spend nearly 69 incredible years and have two children, Michael and Aurelie. Always a hairstylist, Adrienne opened Adrienne's Beauty Salon in their home on Cottage Street in Sanford. The shop flourished for nearly 50 years.A devout Catholic, she was an active member of the Holy Family/St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, singing in the choir for many years and working with the various priests and nuns associated with the church.She enjoyed her time outside, planting flowers and gardening. She loved all animals, particularly cats and dogs. She was a bowler and an avid card player, playing Cribbage, Bridge, Scat and Whist with friends and family.Adrienne will be remembered for her loving heart, generous ways and, together with Rene, for her graceful ballroom dancing-may they dance together throughout eternity. Adrienne was predeceased by her husband Rene and her son Michael; her brothers Emile, Paul and Henry, and seven of her sisters: Bertha LaFlamme, Delia White, Antoinette Chambers, Victorine Allaire, Rose DeRosiers, Marguerite Tetreau (Sr. Aurelie) and Laurette Bald. She is survived by her sisters Claire Brandt of La Jolla, CA and Louise Pepin of Zephyrhills, FL; her daughter Aurelie Pfohl and her husband Skip, of Syracuse, NY; her daughter-in-law Helen LeBlanc of Sanford; six grandchildren - Nicole Turner and her husband Peter, of Noblesville, IN, Danielle Self of Allen, TX, Jason LeBlanc and his wife Courtney of Arlington, VA, Kristen Loflin and her husband Nick, of Greensboro, NC, and Bailey and Shane Pfohl of Syracuse NY; and six great-grandchildren - Josie and Trent Turner, Tatum Self, and John, Abby, and Gabriel Loflin.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday from 4 to 7 PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church in Sanford.
