Adam H. Littell

March 20, 1970 ~ August 16, 2025

Born in: Nashua, New Hampshire
Resided in: Acton, Maine

Adam H. Littell, 55, of Acton, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 16, 2025, following a period of declining health.

Born in Nashua, New Hampshire on March 20, 1970, Adam grew up in Kennebunk, where he attended local schools and graduated from Kennebunk High School in 1988. Drawn to the ocean, Adam spent much of his life working on the water. From 1997 to 2012, he was a commercial fisherman on the Atlantic, later working as a tuna fisherman aboard the F.V. Seaworthy. The sea was not only his livelihood but his passion, a calling that never left him.

Adam was a man of simple wisdom, often sharing his favorite saying: “Wag more, bark less, shoot straight and keep a tight line.” These words reflected the way he lived—honest, steady, and with a quiet appreciation for life’s blessings.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. A firearms enthusiast, Adam enjoyed days at the range with friends. At heart, though, he was a homebody who cherished quiet moments and the companionship of animals, especially the loyal Labrador retrievers he had owned and loved through the years. Whether on the water, in the woods, or at home with his family, Adam found joy in life’s simple pleasures.

He was predeceased by his father, Clarence Littell, and his uncle, Jimmy Wilson.

Adam is survived by his devoted, loving and patient wife, Leighanne Springer; his son, Korbin Littell; his mother, Pamela Littell and her boyfriend Ralph; his sister, Amy Littell; his niece, Chloe Miles and her husband, Will, and their three children, Trevor, Wyatt, and Griffin; his niece Violet Littell and her partner Ralph Berube ahis aunt, Judy Wilson; and two cousins, Scott and Gregg Wilson. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Adam’s life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Black-Heald & Walker Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
