Abel Violette

Abel Violette Sr., 85, of Waterboro, passed away on Saturday April 19, 2014 at the Newton Center in Sanford. He was born in Edmunston, New Brunswick on February 10, 1929 a son of the late Joseph and Zenaide (Sirois) Violette. On August 6, 1949 he married Eleanor Foster in Waterboro.For many years he was employed as a logger with Eon Logging in Biddeford then with Pattern Leather in Waterboro. When he retired he had been employed by Salem Suede in Massachusetts. He enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, dirt bikes and motorcyles.He is predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Lionel, Robert, sister, Rita.He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eleanor Violette of Waterboro, two sons, Abel Violette "Joe" Jr., and Paula of Waterboro, Philip Violette and Joyce of Shapleigh, grandchildren, Steve Violette, Wendy Violette Glaude, Stacey Violette Moulton, Sabrina Violette Gurskis, great grandchildren, Makayla Moulton, Kelsie Moulton, Keegan Glaude, Jayden Glaude, Caleb Gurskis, one sister, Jean Soucie of Enfield, CT.A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 2PM at the Pine Grove South Cemetery in Waterboro.Arrangements are under direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
