A.J. Davis,16, of Sanford passed away on Tuesday August 22, 2017 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born in Sanford on January 12, 2001 a son of Scott and Richieann (Smith) Davis. He was about to enter his Junior year at Sanford High School where he had been accepted in the Sanford Regional Vocational Technical School.A.J. was an avid outdoorsman. He loved anything that had to do with being and spending time outdoors. He had a passion for hunting and fishing. He learned much of his hunting skills from his uncle Nate. One of the youngest member of the Springvale Fish and Game, he was always willing to lend a helping hand with fishing derby events. He also enjoyed playing baseball. An amazing young man with a big personality and a big heart. He was always there to make you laugh and have a great time even when you were at your lowest point, he made sure he was going to raise you up. He was very fond of family. He loved spending time at the camp playing horse shoe with his grandparents because he knew that this was a family tradition. He enjoyed working along with his grandfather as well as working along with his dad as a cook at the York County Shelter Program. He also love riding in the Moonba which was the boat at camp. A.J. looked up to his uncle and auntie, Todd and Shauna. In his eyes Todd was his leader. He is survived by his father, Scott Davis of Sanford, mother, Richie Brochu of Berwick, step mother, Stacy, his little sister, Aryanna Davis who he referred to as the little gremlin, step brothers, who he thought the world of, Dylan, Kyle, Nickolas, paternal grandparents, Ken and Sue Davis, maternal grandparents, Delmar and Debbie Smith, great grandmothers, Ferne Davis and Priscilla Kenney as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.Visiting hours for A.J. will be on Sunday from 5 to 7PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 10AM at Oakdale Cemetery.Condolences may be expressed at the Condolences tab at left.
