We have many friends in our life, few were as dear as Kevin. He will be missed by many, us especially. On my last visit, with one hand over his heart and the other on his brow, I vowed to tell his stories as long as I am able. Rest in peace my old friend. I believe we are not truly dead until our name is spoken for the last time.
Harry and Lois Hoyt.

What can I say they would be of meaning for those that did not know him?
One of my two best brothers.
I sure am going to miss him
A lovely father, uncle, husband, brother.
Kind, warm, lovely, welcoming.
He had a great smile and heart.
He took care of Eddie during kidney transplant recovery.
Uncle Kecin was a genuine man that welcomed me into the family with an open heart. He gave the best hugs. I enjoyed getting to know him when he took care of Eddie during his kidney transplant recovery. He said that Pam is the one he wanted for Eddie. His kindness will never be forgotten. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Until we meet again. Love Pam.
To Debbie, the Murphy family and all who loved Kevin,
Sad day for all of us when we heard about Kevin. “Sorry for your loss” is not enough to say. Losing a brother is one of the hardest things I ever known. I have always thought of Kevin as family so it hurts that much more.
Years back, I remember sharing rides to SMVTI after he was out of the service. Sharing that experience and his love for carpentry was from that time in Building Construction. Like an older brother, he would share words of wisdom to make me better. Practical knowledge is what a young man needs at a time when the world seemed so uncertain. His advice was probably the little push I needed to actually win the “Golden Hammer Award.” Kevin and my brother Jimmy would mention it to me from time to time and lift my spirits.
Memories of Kevin, just like my brother, always make me smile. I have heard of a saying that goes something like, where there is a Murphy you will find a Mac. That is so true!
I was at the hardware store when I heard the news, buying wood glue and screws to fix a chair that someone had already tried to fix. I thought of Kevin, knowing that he would always want to do it the right way. Thinking of Kevin brought a smile to my face as I know it would his!
Kevin made the world a better place and was a positive influence in my life. He will always be in my prayers. So, I now have one more person to talk to when I look up into the sky.
Knowing that you are reunited with your loved ones that passed before you, don’t let the noise get too loud on St. Patrick’s Day. Say hello to Jimmy for me too. And on that day, I will raise my glass to you and shed a tear for who we have lost. Then the smile will return remembering the good times! ‘Til we meet again!

Integrity! Man of his word!
Almost always! Laughter is contagious!
He took pride in doing things the right way!
I met Kevin on trip to Madawaska back in 79. My car was in the shop and he picked me up in his brothers Dennis’s Toyota wagon. On our 6hr ride the car quit on us 3 or 4 times. We got out lifted the hood shook a few wires and started back up. They teamed us up on the job and Kevin was my apprentice. I kept saying Kid do this and Kid do that and found out later he was a week older than me. After that we had been on many jobs together in town, out of town and even outer state, Union meetings, Union picnics and even a couple of bonfires in Scarborough.
You are in our prayers
