Bonnie Lyn Lambert, age 62, of Sanford, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 25, 2023.
Bonnie was born on October 27, 1961, to Percy and Pearl Higgins in Dover-Foxcroft, where she spent her formative years and graduated from Foxcroft Academy. Following her graduation, Bonnie pursued her passion for understanding the human mind and obtained a degree in psychology from the University of Southern Maine in Gorham.
Throughout her professional journey, Bonnie dedicated many years to Carelink, RDC, where she played a crucial role in providing childcare resources for those in need. In 2015, she transitioned to the York County Shelter, where she continued her compassionate work and remained employed until her passing.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Bonnie found joy in creating beautiful jewelry, reading, and using her computer. A woman of quiet grace, she cherished the simplicity of home life, finding solace in its comforting embrace. Bonnie's absence leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of her family and friends.
Bonnie is survived by her son, Jesse Lambert, and his fiancée, Crissy Fitzgerald, of Portsmouth, NH; three grandchildren, Bryson, Mateo, and Brannon Fitzgerald; and three siblings, Larry Higgins and his wife Charlotte of Sidney, Maine, Richard Higgins of Bath and Linda Perigo of Sanford. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will hold her memory close.
In accordance with Bonnie's wishes, there will be no formal services. The family appreciates the condolences and support during this difficult time.
Bonnie's legacy of compassion and warmth will endure in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in her life. May she rest in eternal peace.

Bonnie was my friend and I absolutely adored her. She was so funny and cared more than she liked to show. I will miss her.
My mother can’t be described in words she was one of a kind … I put that woman Thursday hell and she still loved me more than words can say !!! I love and miss you mom life will never be the same rest in peace mom I love you so much !!!
This is Bonnie’s sister She was my baby sister and I will forever miss her She could be outspoken at times but she had a heart of gold She was taken way to soon I will miss talking to her and hearing her voice I am just so thankful that died peacefully and in no pain Until we meet again Bonnie I will forever miss you with all my heart.
