Judith B. Fitzgerald

Judith B. Fitzgerald, 73, of Sanford, passed away peacefully with her devoted husband by her side on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Sedgewood Commons in Falmouth. Born on September 13, 1951, to the late Maurice and Alma (Arsenault) Bisson in Sanford, Judith was a lifelong resident of the community. Judith’s strong faith guided her, and she was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in North Berwick. She found joy in helping others, volunteering at the food pantry and at the local little league park, where she enthusiastically worked the concession stand. She spent her career as the secretary to the Sanford town manager for 25 years, where her professionalism and warm demeanor left a lasting impact. Judith was an amazing woman, admired for her strength, energy, and a heart as big as her sense of humor. She had an unwavering commitment to her family and friends, always putting others first. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Judith's life was a testament to faith, love, and service. She is predeceased by a sister Rita Bisson. She leaves behind her loving husband of nearly 14 years, Rodney Fitzgerald; her daughter, Nicole Gregoire; sisters Jeanne Ivery and Annette Jones, two stepdaughters; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., with a funeral service at 12:00 P.M. at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, ME 04073.
