Martha Marie Barraclough

Martha M. Barraclough 1949-2023 SPRINGVALE, MAINE—Martha M. Barraclough, 74, of Springvale, Maine died Saturday June 17 in Biddeford. She was born in Hartland, Maine January 7, 1949 the daughter of Ralph and Saphrona (Pension) McNichol. She was the ninth child in a family of ten kids, having eight brothers and one sister. She grew up in Danvers, Massachusetts and graduated from Danvers High School. Over the years, Martha had several jobs but her favorite was school bus driver. She was a great friend to all who knew her and was always willing to lend a hand; especially caring for the children of friends and family whenever asked. She had a smile that was contagious and a great sense of humor that she never lost. She also had a green thumb and filled her house with huge healthy house plants. Martha was predeceased by her husband, Scott Barraclough; her brothers, Joe, Stephen, Paul, Albert and Bob McNichol. She is survived by her sons, Eric Cloutier of Springvale and Michael Cloutier and his wife Erin of Groveland, Massachusetts; her grandchildren, Kerstin, Bethany, Hank, Tedy and Max and her siblings, Charlie, Leo, Jack and Fronie as well as several nieces and nephews.
