Donna Elaine (Lytle) Cole, 74 of Alfred Maine died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at Southern Maine Health Care in Sanford as a result of an abdominal aneurysm. Donna was born on her parents’ (Fred Sr & Maybelle Lytle) anniversary June 20th, 1948 in York Maine. Donna was raised in York and graduated from York High School. She was known and loved by many. She loved life and she loved her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, her family, friends, and country. Donna was a licensed care giver for day care and home care and cared for many people of all ages, and backgrounds and was willing to accept the call and request for her assistance for whom ever, when, and wherever and whatever the need. Other employments varied, such as Walmart, a construction or highway traffic safety employee and an employee at the town of Eliot transfer station. Donna enjoyed the many times with family and friends at the Lytle family camp on Moose Pond in Demark. There they enjoyed swimming, water skiing, boating, especially fishing, playing board games, cards and word games. The family celebrations and gatherings also included singing and cooking around the campfire. Donna was an avid sports enthusiast. whether it was playing or watching with her brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins or local town teams playing horseshoes, baseball, basketball and corn hole. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR, basketball, baseball, world little league games, and football on TV. Donna was predeceased by her parents Fred E. Lytle Sr. and Maybelle R. (Drew) Lytle, her brothers Fred E. Lytle Jr. and Roger W. Lytle, her sister Beverly Mack and her brothers Philip Lytle Sr., Carl Lytle, Wayne Lytle, Bradley Lytle and brother in law Wesley Mack. Survivors include her Beloved son David (Crockett) Lloyd Cole, her brother Charles Lytle and his wife Shirley of York, brother Robert Lytle and his wife Linda of SC, her sisters in law Linda Lytle of York, Kathy Lytle, Janice Lytle of Eliot, and Flo Lytle of Sanford, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and special and dear friends. She was known and loved by many and will be dearly missed. A memorial service at the Eliot Baptist Church will be held in the near future. Committal service will be held in spring of 2023.
