It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Naomi Bryce Newell of Sanford, Maine.
Naomi passed on the evening of November 15th, 2022 at the age of 66 in peace and comfort at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough Maine. Naomi was a truly kind individual who found joy in helping others and being involved with her community. Naomi had a great passion for cats, music, books, history, and explaining why she was right. Her proudest accomplishment was passing her enthusiasm for these subjects down to her five children.Their bookshelves are overflowing with tomes of an eclectic nature, with lounging cats aplenty and debate skills highly developed and at the ready.
Naomi leaves behind a legacy filled with kindness, fierce independence, perseverance, and laughter. She will be dearly and deeply missed by her many cherished friends and beloved family.
As Naomi was never a fan of funerals and the like, the family invites you to honor her memory by partaking in her favorite past-time. Go and get lost in a good book, while enjoying the company of a four-legged companion and sipping on a favorite beverage. Naomi would have recommended a hot cup of Earl Grey tea or an ice-cold Diet Coke.
Go peacefully and secure in the knowledge that you were loved, Ma.

I am saddened to hear of Naomi’s passing. She was a kind woman I worked with for a short time. May your memories comfort you. God bless.
She was a soft spoken gentle woman. Kind to her co-workers. We both adored our cats!
