James V. King, of Sanford, passed away at his home on Friday, November 11, 2022. He was born in Bangor, Maine on April 15, 1955 a son of the late Robert and Eva (Goddard) King. He served in the US Air Force.
He is predeceased by his brothers, Robert Goddard, Gerald King, Kevin King.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sharon (Robichau) King. His children, Shirleyann King, Roberta King, Savannahann King, David Marsolais, Lisa Spencer Marsolais, grandchildren, Joseph, Jayme, Shawn, Natasha, Joshua, Faith, Michael, Hendrix, his siblings, Debra Hummel, Patrick King, Michael King, Serena Johnson as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service with military honors will be held in the spring of 2023 at the Southern Maine Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Springvale.

That it was important for him to follow in our Dad’s foot steps and Service in the Air Force. He was so proud of that.
The day he took for a ride to meet God. And I really thought I was going to meet him . Told him we can knock-on the door and ask for Dunken.
He was much more then just a Veteran. He was head strong,he took pride in very job He did and loved to fish with his son.

James is one of my baby brothers.

When he went out and got drunk with his brother and Scott and they stopped to do Chinese fire drills. Because one always fell down.
He always rated out our Dad to MA about where he hid his pony bottles when we were kids. For candy or new toy.
When he went outside in his bath robe in the dead of winter in his Cowboy boots and slide on his ass the length of the drive way.
He Serve his country for a year as an MP. and was proud to serve.

He was the a beautiful baby.

He was amazing he meant so much to me and everyone in his life. There are so many memories we have together I miss him so much I wish he was still here. We had a special bond even my nana didn’t understand it we were best friends I wish that we had more time together we could’ve made so many more memories.
My papa was the best. I have so many amazing fun memories with him I wish I could still make those memories. When I was over he would always cook and his food was amazing I would watch him cook and he would teach me so many things but the foods will never taste the same he had this special touch that nobody else has. He was a special person he did so much I will always remember him and all the memories

I knew James though marriage but he always felt like a brother instead of a brother in law

When Jimmy came to my sons 7th birthday party and found out who made the peanut butter fudge. Everytime he talked to mom he would offer to make her peanut butter fudge.
Jimmy was a very caring man with a big heart! He would help just about anyone that needed it.
Jimmy was my uncle and my son’s great uncle.

I admired Jimmy for how hard he worked and his stubbornness.
He was great at telling stories and jokes.
His big heart and willingness to help others.
My dad always me taught that I had to work hard for what I get , his hard work ethics,
Shrimp wiggle , and making a bet with a friend and he lost to where he had to wheel barrel his friend around town
My dad loved to cook , he loved fishing, he was a man who always had to be right
My dad was a man with many jokes, and sarcastic comebacks ,he was funny and he would love to make others laugh
When I young he would decorate our house for Christmas and the neighbors thought our house was Santa’s workshop , he would tell me that he worked for Santa , until one day i caught him in his undies placing presents under the tree and he told me Santa asked for his help .

I didn’t think our last time making jokes would be through a facetime call, I was coming up on the 12th like you requested , I seen you in pain and just not wanting to fight , even though I know in my mind and heart you are not in pain no more and suffering I am glad to know you are at peace. I know you are up there with Nannie, Poppa, Uncle Kevin, Uncle Jerry, and Uncle bobby and Anita (Mom) , Even though we are all sadden by you passing , I know you would want use to know you are in good hands and i know they all welcomed you home , so this was not a good bye but this is a see ya on the other side shithead . When him and my mother danced around the living room and she picked him up and continued to dance with him

Comedian , he always had a joke to say
He valued his tools,
Pulling his hair from the back to the front of his head ,
My dad and I would watch baseball he loved the red sox and I was a Yankee fan, so when they played if my team won I got money if my team lost I had to do push ups.
Favorite holiday was Christmas cause he loved decorate, possession would be My uncle Kevin’s eagle collection he had,
When we would get on the phone and start making jokes about each other or make jokes about his wife and laugh ,
Talking Smack , thinking he was always right , shopping , Being a handy man
He loved to fish, he loved wrestling, nascar, making others laugh, drinking a cold beer
My dad taught me to cook, how to make a bed military style , how to have manners when adults where present, he taught me that you ate all your food while hot
He would always help a friend in need .

We had a love /hate relationship but when we where good it was full of laughs and smiles ,
I wish I got to hug you one more time.

Uncle Jimmy, you’ll forever be missed by so many. You always knew how to make anyone laugh, and the last few weeks before you left us, you had me laughing harder than I have in a long time. I’m sure you’re making everyone laugh where you are now, with Unlce Jerry, Uncle Bobby, Uncle Kevin, Nanny and Pupup. Will forever miss you.
