Alan David LeBrun

alan lebrun
Alan D. LeBrun, 62, of Sanford passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Monday, August 29. He was born on November 29, 1959, to Roland and Jeannine (Binette) LeBrun in Sanford where he grew up and attended local schools, graduating from Sanford High School. Throughout his life, Alan had resided in Dallas, Orlando, and Portsmouth and finally back to his hometown of Sanford. Alan had been employed at The Sheraton Hotel in Portsmouth for over 25 years. He also worked at Patriots Park apartment complex on weekends for over 20 years. Alan was a kind and gentle man. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He spent the last decades caring for his parents. Being an uncle was very important to him, whether it was school events or sports, birthday celebrations or sharing a meal, Alan was always involved with his nieces and nephews. His involvement also included all of his extended family as well and never missed a chance to be together. As long as he was with family, he was happy. He was also fun and easy going, always being a "goober" as his family lovingly put it. Those who met Alan instantly liked him and he had a way of connecting with everyone. He left too soon and will be deeply missed. He is predeceased by his parents and his partner David who passed in 1993. Survivors include his brother Mark LeBrun and his wife Nancy of Alfred, sister Lisa Gorman and her husband Scott of North Berwick, sister Judith LeBrun of Portsmouth, nieces and nephews David and his wife Melissa, Jason and his wife Jessica, Thomas and his wife Kayla, Jeffrey and his partner Jess, Scott Jr and his wife Kayla, Brenna, Lindsay, Audrey, Matthew, great nieces and nephews Devin, Stephanie, Kaine, Jacob, Kayla, Keira, Harrison, Cole, Tucker, Reese and Carson, and great great nephew and niece Ares and Ellianna. Also, his long-time friends Bob Medley and Lorraine Falcone. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, September 9 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. with a memorial service at 2:00 at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale. 8. My condolences to Alan’s family and friends. I met Alan when I started working at the Sheraton after college. I wasn’t there very long before Alan trained me on Night Audit for the nights he was off. I could tell he was a little annoyed about the training at first because he had recently trained several people who didn’t work out lol. Alan quickly noticed I was serious about the audit and we became friends. Working at the Sheraton for so many years he basically designed the audit process and training manual which he took great pride in. You could tell he enjoyed being a caregiver to his parents and he frequently spoke about his nieces and nephews. I wish I could have worked more shifts with him. He was a good person and will be missed by many.
