Mark was a wonderful brother in law. When John was in Viet Nam, Mark visited me & his niece & nephew regularly, always with a gift in hand. It was a visit I looked forward to during a lonely time in my life. I felt his love through it all and the ending this story is that after John was wounded and admitted to Chelsea Naval Hospital, Mark drove to Boston, picked John up and brought him home. It was a total surprise and a perfect ending to a difficult time. Thank you Mark.
Godspeed dear friend!
Fun-loving, generous, infectious smile and distinctive voice.
Jane and I will always remember the good times we shared golfing in both Myrtle Beach and Florida with you and your posse. Such fun. Mark was a kind and loveable gentleman who made us enjoy his warm embrace.
We are saddened to hear of Mark’s passing. Our condolences to Elaine and family.
Elaine, Chris, and Lauren – So sorry to hear of Mark’s passing. I can remember many warm memories as a child of our families doing things together. Mark and my father, Ted, drove and worked together at PNSY for years, and my mother, Bonnie, and Elaine with their sorority group. May you find comfort in this difficult time in the memories of the good times and the love shared. – Mark Adams
Elaine and Family, I want to offer you my sincere condolences. Mark was one of my best friends growing up. I will always remember him and all our experiences as kids. Please know that my heart is with you in this time of sadness. Mike Jacobs
Being good friends with Lauren I got the opportunity to spend a few vacations in north myrtle beach with Mark and Elaine. Mark made it extra special by having his homemade margaritas ready and waiting for us at arrival!! There’s so many moments to remember from those trips but the one time I’ll never forget is when we were all woken up by a fight outside in the hallway!! Mark and I spend about an hour peaking out the window in our “Jammie’s” analyzing the situation. I can begin to express how amazing a father he was to Lauren. He was her world! He’ll be forever missed. What a mark he made.
Many good times in Sanford at your mom and dads house – playing pool – lake cottage – my father Gilbert was very close to your mom. rest in Peace Mark. Much love.
My utmost condolences to Elaine, Christopher and Lauren. Mark and I travelled to the Portsmouth Shipyard for about 15 years. Something like 6,000 hours on the road together!! We talked about many things including the stocks he loved.
He was my best friend and we did many things together. He was a gentleman. He will be missed. Rest in Peace Mark.
