Leo N. Mauzerolle, "Captain Muzzy", "Papa", a former Marine and fire fighter for the town of Sanford for 37 years passed away peacefully at home with his wife Judy at his side on September 27, 2019.Known around town as "Muzzy" Leo had a love for life and a laugh that could fill up a room.Known in the fire house as "Captain" or "Capt. Muzzy", Leo served his community with pride and was a mentor and role model to many young men and women who had the privilege of working with him,Known at home as "Papa", due to the eleven grandchildren and five great- grandchildren he had. Leo is survived by his wife Judy of 54 years, sons Daniel and his wife Deb of Acton, Richard of New Bodford, MA, and daughter Susan Bickford and her husband Steven of Shapleigh.Services will be held at the Southern Maine Veteran's Cemetery on Friday October 4th at 10AM.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
