Judson F. Savary

Judson F. Savary, 83, of North Port, FL and a summer resident of Waterboro, died November 29 in Spotsylvania, VA after a long illness.He was born in Malden, MA on May 25, 1925, a son of Joseph G. and Enid I. (Field) Savary.He served with the Army Air Corps during World War II from 1943 to 1946 and from then until his retirement in 1966, he served in the US Air Force. He then worked for Texon in South Hadley, MA, retiring in 1985.He and his wife became "snow birds" residing at their summer cottage in Waterboro from May to October and living in North Port, FL during the winter months.Judd enjoyed shell collecting, square dancing, DIY projects and traveling. He was a member of the Hemphill Heights Lodge #1164, AF & AM in Fort Worth, TX.Survivors include his wife Laura Marion (Reed) Savary of Spotsylvania, VA, a son Robert Judson Savary and his wife Carolyn of North Port, FL, a daughter, Catherine Enid (Savary) Hicks and her husband Horace of Spotsylvania, VA, grandson Steven Robert Savary and his wife Shannon of Bourbon, MO, granddaughter Christina Mary Savary of Hubbardstown, MA, grandson Judson Edward Hicks of VA and great grandkids Ashley, Holly, William and Andrew Savary.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale. Ritualistic services by the Preble Masonic Lodge will be conducted at 12:30 PM followed by a funeral service with military honors at 1:00 PM with Rev. Ginny Gass officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Pine Grove Cemetery in So.
