Helen Fran Ryerson

Helen Frances (Fran) Ryerson, 95, of Springvale, ME, formerly of Acton, ME, and Westwood, MA passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Evergreen Manor in Saco, ME.Fran was born on February 14, 1913 in Chesterfield, NJ, a daughter of Albert and Helen (Wallace) DuBell. She graduated from Atlantic City High School. For many years she was employed at a bookkeeper for the Camden Brewery in New Jersey. She then worked at the 1st National Bank in Philadelphia and as a nurse's aide at the First Baptist Home in Newton, MA.She was a member of the Springvale First Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.She was predeceased by her husband, Wilbur L. Ryerson.She is survived by a son, Robert W. Ryerson of Pembroke, MA, a daughter, Nancy C. Kenney of Ocean Park, Maine, a stepson, John L. Ryerson of Isle of Palms, SC, one brother, four grandchildren and great grandchildrenA Graveside Service will be held on Monday, November 3rd at 2PM at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Acton, Maine.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the Springvale First Baptist Church, PO Box 277, Springvale, Maine 04083.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.To leave the family a message of condolence please use the "condolences" tab to the left.
