Eleanor Lutton Peterson

Eleanor Lutton Peterson, 80, formerly of Acton, Wilmington and Wakefield, MA, died peacefully at her home in Kennebunk on January 7, 2010.Eleanor was born in New Castle, PA, in 1929, the daughter of William Burke Lutton and Anna Kastner Lutton. She graduated from New Castle High School in 1947 and attended Central Bible Institute in Springfield MO. Ellie, as she was known to family and friends, was an active member of the Acton Congregational Church. She was an outstanding violinist and enjoyed playing the violin in church and participated in a number of symphony orchestras and string ensembles throughout her life. She also enjoyed singing in the church choir with her husband Ralph.Ellie was predeceased by her husband and best friend of 52 years, Ralph W. Peterson Jr. She is survived by three children, Dale Peterson, Dawn Reavis and Ralph W. Peterson III and his wife Karen Simpson Peterson; a sister, Elaine Lutton Gustafson; a niece, Lyn Renee Glasson and four grandchildren, Laina Reavis and Emily, Laura and Anna Peterson.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 6th at 3:00 PM at the Acton Congregational Church in Acton. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Acton Congregational Church, P.O.
