Marguerite Joan Neistorowich

Marguerite Joan Neistorowich, 65, of Shapleigh, died at her home on Sunday, April 22, 2007.Joan was born in Peabody, MA on February 4, 1942 to Walter and Diane Starvos Birmingham. She attended Essex Agricultural High School in Danvers, MA.Mrs. Neistorowich enjoyed making many different kinds of crafts and doing things with her hands. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball. She also enjoyed playing miniature golf and traveling to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun where she would play the slots. In 2000, Joan and her husband built a house in Florida where they would often go and spend months at a time.Joan was a very kind and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an excellent cook and took great pride in preparing wonderful meals. She will be remembered as a kind and loving woman and will be deeply missed by her friends and family. Mrs. Neistorowich was predeceased by her first husband, James Anderson and a son, Paul K.P. Anderson.Surviving are her husband, William Neistorowich of Shapleigh; four children, Carole Lee West of Machesney Park, IL, Diana Porter-Dichiara of Peabody, MA, Edward Porter of Danvers, MA and Tina Crowley-Colwell of West Newfield; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.At Joan's request, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to Beacon Hospice, 42 Brickyard Court, York, ME 03909.
