Jay A. McMahon

Jay A. McMahon Jr, 52, of West Newfield, Maine, passed away on Tuesday September 17, 2013 following a courageous battle with liver cancer at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine. He was born in Lawrence, MA, on July 29, 1961 a son of the late Edward McMahon and Joan Newcastle Pineau.Jay was a fun loving individual who enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh. A hard working person he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His hobbies included working on cars, music and camping.Jay is predeceased by his parents as well as his stepson, Wayne Dube.He is survived by his wife, Karen (Basile) McMahon of West Newfield, Maine, children, Justin Fortin, Jeremy McMahon, Jay McMahon, Andrew Dube, sisters, Robin Linehan, Linda Peterson, Susan McMahon, brothers, Timothy McMahon, Jason Pineau, many grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.In accordance with his wishes services will be private.The family is planning a Bike Ride to honor Jay on October 19.
