Joanne J. Lavalle

Joanne J. Lavalle, 68 years old, of West Newfield, ME died Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA.Joanne was born on June 11, 1939 in Clinton, MA. She was the daughter of the late Evelyn Groves.Joanne enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved to go shopping, to play cards, sewing, embroidery, and trips to visit family and friends in Florida, and Iowa. Of course her greatest joy was her family and friends. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be missed by the many people whose lives she touched.Her life will be carried on in the hearts of those she left behind; Joanne is survived by her husband of 49 years, James A. Lavalle of West Newfield, five daughters, Jennifer Prive and her husband Phil, Michelle Walker and her husband Mike, Kim Fredette and her husband Richard, Joanne Allison and her husband Sean, Laura Lavalle; three sons, David Lavalle and his wife Tracy, Paul Lavalle and his wife Tammy, James Lavalle and his wife Tonya; twenty-five grandchildren, Alisha, Daniel, Haley, Madison, Jessy, Samantha, Nicole, Patrick, Andrew, Allie, Dan, Stephanie, Ashley, Dickie, Kenny, Jessica, Courtney, Pat, Amanda, Shannon, Dawn, Eric, Christine, John, Melinda, and ten great-grandchildren.A period of visitation for Joanne will be held this Monday, December 17, 2007 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale, ME; where a 1:00 PM funeral service will be held following visitation.Joanne's family wishes to thank the loving staff at Maine Medical Center, along with her caring physicians Dr. Theresa Breault and Chest Medicine Associates.In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Joanne's name to the American Lung Association, In Memory of Joanne Lavalle/Garters4ala, American Lung Association, 122 State St., Augusta, ME 04330.To leave the family a message of condolence please use the "condolences" tab to the left.
