Michael S. Jones

Michael S. Jones, 53, of Lebanon, died at his home on Monday, May 21, 2012.Michael was born in Portland on January 14, 1959 to Earl and Helena (Metcalf) Jones. He grew up in Scarborough where he attended local schools. When he was in high school his family relocated to Waterboro where he attended Massabesic High School, graduating in 1977. Michael was employed for over 20 years as a roofer for the Heritage Company in Waterboro. He loved being outdoors. He particularly enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting and fishing. Michael was also an animal lover and especially liked dogs. He will be remembered as a devoted father, son, grandfather and brother and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.Surviving are two sons, Jarvis Grant of Saco and Jared Jones and his wife Jessica of Waterboro; a granddaughter, Riley Grant of Saco; his mother, Helena Jones of Kennebunk; three brothers, Kevin Jones and his wife Judy of Mars Hill, ME, Aubrey Jones and his wife Cindi of Lebanon and Larry Jones and his wife Tammy of Lebanon and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, May 25th at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home located at 580 Main Street in Springvale. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 26th . Interment will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery in South Waterboro.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Animal Welfare Society, P.O.
