Donna M. Johnson, 73, of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday July 19, 2017 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. She was born in York on March 26, 1944, a daughter of the late William Sr., and Mary (Danahy) Brackett. She graduated from Wells High School and the Southern Maine Community College.In 2007 she retired from the Springvale District Attorney's Office with many years of service as an Administrative Assistant. She was a member of the Red Hat's Society. She enjoyed reading, crosswords, listening to country music, bingo and spending time with her grandchildren. She cherished her time at the beach with her beloved dog JJ.She is predeceased by her husband, Donald B. Johnson who passed in 2007, step son, Dana Johnson and two brothers, Donald Brackett and Philip Brackett.She is survived by her children, Chris Johnson and his wife, Laurie of Waterboro, Sharon Phillips and her husband, James of Springvale, Donna LaRose and her husband, Michael of Sanford, Glenn Johnson and his wife, Elaine of Sanford, Linda Johnson Ganslow of Sanford, Lisa Johnson of Sanford, Nick Johnson of Waterboro, her siblings, Rosalie Cunningham and her husband, Doc of PA, William Brackett of Wells, Steven Brackett of Wells, Gerald "Jack" Brackett of Wells, Brian Brackett of Wells, Michael Brackett of FL, Christine Carbon and her husband, Andy of Sanford, 24 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 22nd at 10AM at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford. Following the service family and friends are invited to gather from 11 to 2 at the Springvale Social Club in Springvale for a luncheon.Those planning and expression of sympathy are asked to consider donations in her memory to the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, 11 Hunnewell Road, Scarborough, ME 04074.Arrangements are under the direction of the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford.
