James "Jim" Alan Daigneau, Sr., 48, of Acton, Maine, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in Wakefield, NH, from injuries sustained in an snowmobile accident. Jim was born in Laconia, NH, on July 16, 1962, a son of Wallace and Phyllis (Langley) Daigneau.Jim who was known to many as the "Shingler" worked as a carpenter and mechanic. He grew up and went to school in Dover but spent many summers as a child in Acton on his grandparents farm eventually making his home there.Jim lived life on his own terms and free will. He was generous, thoughtful, and had many good friends two of which were his dogs, Molly and Mick.Jim is survived by two sons, James Alan Daigneau Jr., and Derek Daigneau, of Rochester, NH, his mother, Phyllis L. Daigneau and step father, Clarence A. Foley of Dover, NH, his father, Wallace A. Daigneau and step mother, Alberta Daigneau, of Rutherfordton, NC, brothers and sisters, Patricia Alexander and her husband, Johnny of Forrest City, NC, Mark Daigneau and his wife, Tina of Barrington, NH, Sue Mary Daigneau and her fiance, Andrew Hall of Springvale, ME, Andrew Daigneau and his wife, Leslie of Moultonboro, NH, nieces Allison Walsh, Desiree Howell, Kayla Daigneau, Lee Ann Daigneau, nephews, Peter Pescatello and Cole Horne, many aunts, uncles and cousins.Visiting hours for Jim will be held on Tuesday, January 4th from 5 to 8PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
