Esther D. Blanchard

Esther Davis Blanchard, devoted wife of Parker Blanchard for over 62 years, died October 16, 2006, after a long battle with Alzheimer's and emphysema.A resident of Acton, ME, and formerly of Winchester, MA, Esther was the beloved mother of her four children Susan, Davis, Barry, and Peter, and a loving grandmother to her seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her family and many friends will miss her sweet and gentle nature, her optimistic outlook, and her easy ability to foster love and affection.A period of visitation will be held this Friday, October 20, 2006 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a service at 1:00 PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St. Springvale, ME.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 163 Lancaster St., Suite 160B, Portland, ME 04101, or the Emphysema Foundation, Suite D, 239 NE US HWY 69, Clay Como, Mo. 64119.Condolences may be expressed by using the tab to the left.
