Edith Belrose, 93, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on April 9, 2022, in Cherokee, OK. She was born on March 30, 1929, to Rose Antoine and Anton Vielgrader in Vienna, Austria. She met and married Henry Belrose and she followed him throughout his military career. Edith was an artist and painter whose favorite medium was oil. She loved wildlife and painted mostly wildlife and scenery. She sold her paintings and while living in in Midwest City Oklahoma, she taught art classes. She also loved cooking, the ocean and nature. She was a very loving grandmother and great grandmother. Edith is predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Henry Belrose and only daughter Dorothy Belrose. Survivors include granddaughter Ramona Pratt of Los Angeles, CA, granddaughter Rhonda Pratt and her husband Michael Aubin, of Cherokee, OK, great granddaughter Annallena Pratt of Epping, NH, niece Joyce St. Amand of Chelsea, ME and nephew Heinz Vielgrader of Austria. A graveside service will be held on May 27, at 12 at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 82 Stanley Rd. in Springvale. To leave a message of condolence click on Edith's Tribute page.
