James B. Allen

James B. Allen, 'Shane' to all who knew and loved him, of Springvale, passed away on Monday March 3rd at the Maine Medical Center in Portland. Shane was born on February 7, 1964 in Metter, GA. He worked for 23+ years as a cosmetologist in Florida, Pennsylvania and Maine. For the past three year he worked as a Customer Service/Sales Associate at the University of New England Bookstore in Biddeford.Shane will be greatly missed by his partner of 18 years, Mr. Jeffery A. McCabe of Springvale, his father, James B. Allen of Metter, GA, an aunt, Martha of Metter, GA, cousins and friends.No services will be held at the time per Shane's last wishes.Donations in his memory may be made to the American Lung Association of Maine, 122 State Street, Augusta, Maine 04330 or to the American Cancer Society New England Division, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Topsham, ME 04086.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale.To leave a message of condolence please use the "condolences" tab to the left.
