SANFORD—Nancy T. Vezina, 82, a lifelong resident of Sanford, died Saturday, April 15 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born August 26, 1940, in Sanford, the daughter of Lucien and Annette (Frechette) Desruisseaux. She grew up in Sanford and attended St. Ignatius School. She talked to people like they were old friends, everywhere she went. She and her life-long partner, Bob Boucher traveled to Florida for ten years and she met just as many friends there. Nancy enjoyed crocheting, dancing, playing cards, and speaking her native French language. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. Nancy was predeceased by her sister Janet Rodrique. She is survived by her lifelong companion, Bob Boucher; her daughters, Judy Vezina of Alfred and Cathy Good of Moore, Oklahoma; her sisters, Marie Barraclough and her husband Tom of Sanford and Helen York and her husband John of Sanford and her grandson, Christopher Watrous. Visiting hours will be at the Carll Heald and Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church on Saturday, April 22 at 10:00 AM.
