Resided in:
Sanford, ME
Anne Marie R. Mosher, 76, of Sanford passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Kennebunk Center for Rehabilitation in Kennebunk.
She was born on September 3, 1946 to the late Sylvio and Alice (Doiron) Gouin in Sanford where she grew up and attended local schools, graduating from St. Ignatius High School in 1964.
Anne Marie began her career in the medical field as a secretery in the Emergency Room at Goodall Hospital. She was then employed at the office of Dr. McGuckin and Dr. Frank in Sanford as a medical assistant. She was well known and made those who came to the office feel like they had someone to listen. The fact that she could communicate in French was an added advantage, allowing her to effectively communicate with patients in Sanford. Her commitment to the field spanned four decades, and she became a fixture in the medical community until she retired when she was 70.
Anne Marie also enjoyed making crafts to give to her friends and coworkers. She was a loving sister and friend.
She is survived by two brothers, Ronald Gouin of Springvale and Michael Gouin of Exeter, NH, nieces Debbit Burtsell of Kennebunk, and Donna Chapais and her husband of Lyman, nephews David Wormwood and his wife Colleen of Bowdoinham, and Steve Gouin and his wife Kristin of North Berwick, and great nephews Jordan and Adam Burtsell and great niece Emma Gouin.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 22 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Ignatius Cemetery, Sanford.

Generous and loving person always ready to help people.
I would see and speak with Ann Marie every time I visited my dr’s office.
She was a very caring person
I have known Anne Marie for more than 45 years. She was a very sweet and caring person. I was her very recently and thought she look pretty good for her age. She had told me that she had sold her home of many years and was now living in Kennebunk. She will be dearly missed. Dolores Vincent
Anne-Marie was such a loving, kind, caring person. I enjoyed seeing her smiling face every time I had a doctor’s appointment. It was also nice running into her at Mel’s Raspberry Patch for breakfast and ketching up.
