Helen E. Valliere

Helen (Gagnon) Valliere, 82, died peacefully on Sunday, January 3rd after a short period of failing health at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House with her loving family by her side.
She was born at home on July 10, 1938 in Groveton, N.H. the daughter of Alfred F. and Maria. (McClure) Gagnon. She graduated from Groveton High School in the Class of 1957, and 2 months later she married her High School sweetheart Lawrence Valliere. They were married on August 17, 1957 in Groveton, NH, and they had 63 wonderful married years together.
In 1985 they designed and started building their own dream home with the help of family and friends on Hubbard's Cove on Mousam Lake in Acton. They finished and moved into the home in the spring of 1987 where they have lived to the present time.
Before retiring in 1985, Helen had worked for 26 years at Sprague Electric. She was a member of St. Anthony's Parish in Sanbornville, NH. She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, reading, doing puzzles, camping trips, taking boat rides around Mousam Lake and playing games on her kindle. She also loved to travel. Her favorite travel places were Hawaii, Alaska and the Canadian Rockies.
Helen enjoyed spending time with all of her family. Holidays were always special to her and she would have the entire family over for her famous cooking. She was a caring, loving wife, sister aunt, mother and grandmother and great grandmother.
She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Alfred (Vase) Gagnon and Florent (Bib) Gagnon, and two sisters, Gloria Gagnon and Georgette Goulet.
She is survived and will be so sadly missed by her husband Lawrence, her three children Debra Allaire and her husband David of Sanford, Larry Valliere and his partner Elizabeth Gerrish of Lebanon, Linda Desrochers and her husband Mark of Shapleigh, her 7 grandchildren, Daniel, Douglas, Diana, Jonathan, Kevin, Bryan and Trisha, her 5 great grandchildren, Evan, Aurora, Adrienne, Jackson and Jack, her sister Geraldine (Gerry) Major of Amherst, NH, her brother Clarence (Bill) Gagnon of Groveton, NH, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
At this time the family has chosen to do a traditional service and a celebration of life at a later date, when it is safe for the family to do so.
