Peter Fodera

Peter P Fodera, 80, a resident of Lyman, ME since 2019 and formerly of East Rutherford, NJ for 57 years, died on January 19, 2021 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. Born in Brooklyn, NY on February 22, 1940, Peter was the son of the late Giuseppe and Mary (Vultaggio) Fodera. He served our country in United States Navy. He then worked as a chemical operator at Givaduan Corporation in Clifton, NJ for 35 years and at Midland Park High School in Midland Park, NJ until his retirement in 2005. Peter is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Barbara A Fodera (Lipiniski) and his 3 children: daughter Debra and husband Bill Morrison of Sayville, NY, daughter Ann Marie and husband Jerry Hill of Kennebunk, ME and son Joseph Fodera of Olathe, KS, his 7 grandchildren Christen Lavell (Ryan), Angela Morrison, Billy Morrison (Natalie), Nicole Hill, Kevin Hill, Sydney Fodera and Gabriel Fodera and his great granddaughter Giada Cruz. He was predeceased by 5 siblings: Rosaria Thompson, Libonia Fodera, John Fodera, Frances Schicchi and Fannie Badami. Peter enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, gardening, bowling, rooting on the NY Giants, watching cowboy programs and having Jake, his faithful canine companion, by his side. Peter had a terrific sense of humor and a quick wit that will be missed by all. A celebration of his life and graveside burial will be held at a later date due to the Covid pandemic.
