Donald M. Nadeau, 59, of Sanford, died on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough following a brief illness.Donald was born on July 29, 1961to Martin and Gabrielle Nadeau Legere in Sanford where he grew up and attended local schools. Following school he proudly served in the United States Army. After completing his enlistment he returned to Sanford where he was employed doing carpentry work and driving trucks.Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking nature walks and watching old westerns and war movies. He always appreciated the simple things in life such as a good cup of coffee, a can of Sunkist soda and lobster rolls. Donald will be remembered as a devoted and loving father who loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.Surviving are his daughter, Lynzie Nadeau of Sanford; three siblings, Dennis Nadeau, Cathy Chaisty, and Ann Nadeau and her partner Jim Welch of Sanford; nieces and nephews, David and his wife Naomi, Nicholas, Kaylee, Meagan, Gabriella and Oliver and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with a funeral service following at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 21st at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, Maine.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider sending a memorial contribution to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 ST. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
