Joan C Bynoe

Joan Cleopatra Bynoe , 83, passed away peacefully at the age of 83 at Penn Medicine Rittenhouse Hospice Center in Philadelphia, PA . She went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 27, 2021. Joan was born on January 9, 1938 in Trinidad and Tobago to Herman Bynoe and Olga Bynoe nee Downes. She was one of 11 children. She immigrated to United States in her early 20s and started a family. She worked for many years as a certified nurse's aide at a veteran's home for the State of New Jersey. Joan is predeceased by her parents, her siblings, Timmy, Winston, Steve, Jean, Eric, and Albert Bynoe. Survivors include her work and church families as well as her two daughters: Veronica A. Charles and Deborah S. Charles. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Shenell Beaubrun and her husband Jean, Shantell Handy, Duane Stewart, Kira Hunter, and Kitara Coffill. She also has four great grandchildren ranging in ages from 8 years to 2 months and her siblings Joycelyn Fraser, Lorna Bynoe, Carl Bynoe, and Marlene Bynoe and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, Sanford-Springvale.
