Susan Ann Davis

Susan “Sue” Davis, 87, of Portland, formerly of Bucksport, Maine, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

Sue was born in Auburn, New York, the daughter of W. Frederick Davis and Teresa W. Davis. She devoted her life to serving others as a teacher, home health nurse, hospice volunteer, and community activist, and she took part in several important chapters of the American peace movement.
She was predeceased by her wife, Mary Jane Bush. She is survived by her brother, Bill Davis; many beloved nieces and nephews; and a wide community of friends who will miss her dearly.
