Ralph E. Strong

Ralph Strong passed on February 18, 2026 after a long battle with COPD while surrounded by loved ones. Ralph was born in Wolfeboro, NH, but spent his life living in many different places and making memories wherever his travels took him. Places of particular significance included Gloucester, MA, where he started a family with his late wife, Nancy “Becker” Hill, New Boston, NH, where he created a home for himself, and various places in Maine.

Ralph lived a life full of adventure, stories, laughter, and friendship. He spent many of his years traveling throughout the country, meeting people along the way and making friends wherever he went. He was full of stories and jokes, always had something to say, and had a way of making people laugh. Ralph also knew everything there was to know about cars and could talk about them with anyone who shared his interest. His stories, sense of humor, and unique personality will be remembered by all who knew him.

In his later years, Ralph shared his life with his late partner, Kathy Davis, and became a cherished part of Kathy’s family, including her daughter, Mandie, and granddaughter, Tasha.

Ralph leaves behind his children, Dwayne Strong, Darin Strong, Eric Strong, Caitie Thayer, and the late Lisa Thibodeau, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other cherished members of his chosen family. He will also be remembered by his extended family and the many friends he made throughout his life.

Ralph did not want a traditional service, but instead a celebration of life. The celebration of life will be held September 20, 2026, at Stage Fort Park, Area A (the spot behind the Visitor’s Center), at 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm, and all are welcome. Stage Fort Park is located at 24 Hough Ave, Gloucester, MA 01930. Please come share memories, stories, and laughter as we celebrate Ralph and the life he lived. Food will be served and please bring a chair.
