Michelle Straffin

Michelle “Shellie” Straffin, 52, of Sanford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Summer Commons in Sanford.

She was born on November 17, 1973, to Larry and Deborah Straffin at Irwin Army Air Force Base in Junction City, Kansas.

Shellie enjoyed being creative and enjoyed arts and crafts. She had a special fondness for angels and cats, and her beloved cat, Roxy, was a cherished companion.

She was predeceased by her mother, Deborah Straffin.

Shellie is survived by her best friend and longtime companion, George Bennett of Sanford; her father, Larry Straffin of Somersworth, NH; her daughter, Adilynn Skyler; her sister, Sherry Elwell and her husband, John, of Shapleigh; her brothers, Matthew Straffin of Laconia, New Hampshire, and Randy Coliss and his wife, Laurie, of Somersworth, New Hampshire; and her cat, Roxy.

Shellie will be remembered by her family and friends for her gentle spirit, her creativity, and the love she had for the things and people who brought her joy.
